Modern laboratories for VŠB - Technical University Ostrava
With the laying of the foundation stone, we have begun the construction of modern technology laboratories that will be built right on the university campus. Fifty scientists will find state-of-the-art facilities for research and development activities there.
The new construction of CPIT TL4, which is the largest construction project of Project Refresh, will cost over CZK 100 million. A testing polygon will also be built in its vicinity, which researchers have so far lacked on the university campus.
"In the new premises, we will gain top-quality facilities for research and development activities carried out both in cooperation with our partners, which are various companies and institutions, and for our clients. Thanks to this, we will be able to contribute to the digitalization transformation of the region and the transformation of industry by developing new technologies for digitalization in production and autonomous mobility," said Petr Šimoník, Scientific Director of the Industry 4.0 & Automotive Lab of the REFRESH project.
"I am very happy that we have succeeded in the tender and that we can implement such a beautiful and professionally interesting project. By building it in this way, we will indirectly contribute to the development of the most modern technologies. I believe that it will bring new students, scientists and partners to the university," said Dalibor Mata, Chairman of the Board of VAMOZ CONSTRUCTION.
The opening ceremony was also attended by Václav Snášel, Rector of the Technical University of Ostrava, Josef Belica, Governor of the Moravian-Silesian Region, Stepan Nosek, representative of the Ministry of the Environment, and Václav Waildich, architect of the project.
The laboratories and a unique experimental polygon will be built on the university campus by the summer of next year.
